I’ve finished my latest graphic book.  I have the intro page, etc. to finish, then off to Cal at Caligraphics.  He formats it so I can upload to Smashwords.  Here is the finished cover.

I’m nearing the final panels for a new graphic book.  The story: We assume parents make the all sacrifices for satisfy their children.  We seldom look at the sacrifices children make to satisfy their parents.  I shamelessly borrowed the graphic method used by Jules Feiffer to tell the story.

Done on my ipad using the Zen Brush app.  This app is very flexible and smooth within it’s defined range.

The short poems are offering new ways of expression.  I’m honing my ipad skills which is a different medium than brush & paint or pen and ink.

Of the sea and gaze

Merge with the bright sky.

A friend left several books to me.  One is of Japanese poetry.  On reading, this image came to mind.

Coming from a large family, I decided to do my own reality show.  Click image to enlarge.

The graphic story I have been working on has stalled.  Rather than fight it I’m going to set it aside.  I need to decide whether to take the story in another direction or hold to its present course.  Meantime, I will work on some short pieces or just images.  The ones that develop will be posted.

Still working on two different writing projects.  One is for my life stories, the other my coming graphic book.  In the interim, here is an ACEO painting I did (2.5″x3.5″ / 6.5 x 9 cm)

The shy, wild orchid of the Pacific NW —  a “Trilliam.”  It grows in the damp near trees or ferns.
